Today, we will explore the two sides of Lima: its modern side, represented by the vibrant districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, and its historical essence, reflected in the Historic Center, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Throughout the tour, we will discover how the past and present coexist in the architecture of iconic landmarks such as the Museum of Italian Art, the Palace of Justice, the Museum of Lima, and San Martín Square, among others.
We will delve into the heart of Lima on foot, with the Plaza de Armas as the focal point. This majestic colonial square, surrounded by architectural treasures like the Government Palace, the Cathedral, and the Archbishop's Palace, is perfect for capturing in photographs.
Additionally, we will visit one of the city's most significant temples, the Convent of Santo Domingo, also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historic site houses the relics of three important Peruvian saints: Saint Rose of Lima, Saint Martin de Porres, and Saint John Macías.
To conclude, we will return to contemporary Lima, the city that embraces the Pacific Ocean with spectacular views. We will enjoy this scenery from the iconic Parque del Amor (Love Park), home to the celebrated sculpture by renowned Peruvian artist Víctor Delfín. An experience that blends history, culture, and unforgettable landscapes.
